Hello =) I know I am a little late to the curve, but I finally got my first VR headset! It's an old model TriOptic that I saved up for months for. I know it is not much compared to what lots of people like to use for VR, but I'm excitted to play my first VRMMO. I downloaded the free trial of Ascendance of Exenia and will be able to play for free for at least a month, and would like to get to do as much as possible before them. I am not sure if ill be able to afford a subscription after that. =( I will be playing on the Basilisk server. Does anybody have any advice on what to play? I'm unused ot party games. My favorite game is Terrasect 4 and I am hoping to play something with similar gameplay. Thank you! =)

I still play very regularly. Exenia is my favorite game and I'm a little sad that this expansion is the last one... so I'll be happy to revisit older content and drag out the experience a little, haha. I play Healreaver so I can handle DPS and healing at the same time. My Exenia username is the same as my forum name - you can add me in-game directly if you right click and select "AoE" on my username with the game open, though your terminal may not be able to run the game and your Net browser at the same time.

You might want to try out Dragoon or Technical Adept if you're a fan of Terrasect. I've only played the first two but if you want to emulate the hack-and-slash style, DPS with a high skill ceiling sounds like it'd be a perfect fit.

most of the userbase on this board are located in the states. it may be difficult to find players on basilisk since, iirc, that one's located in the new soviet bloc. mainframe visits are always an option, though i don't know many who have the abndwidth necessary for cross-continental transfer. lag really fucks with your head in full-immo vr.

you may have better luck going into taverns and pubs or other rp hubs where people gather in-game to find parties there. you may actually have to because soloing is almost impossible in exenia. hope this helps.

I know Exenia is an old game at this point but I'm only 14 and can't afford to buy a nice cyberdeck for newer games =( That's why I have to use the trial, I spent all my allowance on the headset...

C3l, thank you for your assistance! I added y ou but you may have not been online. I will message you if I see you in the game and we can meet up. I decided to play Technical Adept because I want to dual wield like Raide from Terrasect. =)
